Wow, it's been 6 months since the last new update, real sorry about that. Going to start off with the good news. The split 7" with Psychopunch is finally finished and the official release date from Smorgasbord Records is April 12th. Get them while you can, there are
only 1,000 made, 500 on blue vinyl and 500 on blue with white added. It's a limited edition release and once the 1,000 are sold out, there will be no more made. The 7" includes two brand new songs from Windfall and two brand new songs from Psychopunch. These four songs are exclusive to this split release, so you can't get them anywhere else. Check out
the music page for the 7" cover and the lyrics to the two new Windfall songs...

In less positive news, here is pretty much a summary of what has been going on the past year. Back in January of 2003, Jon Biviano a long time friend and guitar player in Windfall decided to leave the band. He gave us until June to find a replacement and committed to record seven songs that we had been writing before his official departure. So along came
June and we had not found a replacement for Jon and the recording date for the seven new songs wasn't going to happen until September. We spent June-Sept finishing the seven songs and making final preparations to hit the recording studio. Sept comes, we record the seven new songs, which came out great and we are really happy with, and Jon officially steps down as Windfall's guitarist. A few weeks of contemplation and confusion go by and Bill and Rob decide that they don't want to continue without Jon, so they leave Windfall. Now that leaves myself (Jeff) and Jennifer as the two remaining and ironically the only two original members left. Ironically again, a week later, Jon decides that he wants back in and he wants to find a new rhythm section to replace Rob and Bill. Jennifer and I say, "let's do it" and Jon begins his search for new people. This was in late December 2003 and since mid January 2004 Jon and Jennifer have been writing new stuff with a new drummer in NJ, who last week decided that he wasn't into it. Mostly because we still have not secured a bass player and I had been too busy to trek from CT to NJ on a weeknight to get together. Jennifer has decided for personal reasons to take the summer off and she is going away for three months to collect her thoughts and get her life straightened out. Jon, Jennifer and myself have decided to regroup in September, which gives us from now until then to find a new rhythm section, wish us luck! We will keep you posted...Until then, check out the new split 7", you will not be disappointed!!

Windfall hit the studio Sept 26th-28th! Due to scheduling conflicts and studio availability, it took a little longer than anticipated, but the weekend is finally upon us. We will be recording seven songs and this will be the farewell recording session with our long time compadre Jon Biviano. Two songs will appear on a Smorgasbord Records split 7" with
Psychopunch from Sweden. Two songs will appear on a CT compilation cd that is coming out in the near future, and the other 3 songs have not found a home as of yet, we will keep you posted.

Check out the Music page for the artwork for the split release with Psychopunch!

Check out the pictures page for a few recent additions of Windfall from Jeff and Michelle Terranova's wedding back on May 17th. We all had a great time, as you will tell from the pics.

Post on the message board, we would love to hear from you. 2003 wasn't the best or the most active year for Windfall. We have had our share of set backs and losses, but we have not given up. Expect to be hearing a lot more from us in 2004!!

6/30/03

Holy crap, we have a functioning message board again, so go post your hearts out. We want to thank Jon, from the legandary Up Front for taking the time to get this thing set up for us. Once at the board, click on Windfall in the Forum Name / General section. It will bring you to a page where you can read posts, repy to posts and start a new post. You DO NOT have to register in order to post, but it makes it more fun when you are a registered member.

Hello everyone. We apologize for the long lapse in updates and in news. Here is everything that is new and exciting as of present. We are still working on getting a new message board up and running. Any day now...

As of May 17th, Jeff Terranova married his fiancé of two years. All of Windfall were present and a part of the special day. We will post some pictures in the near future for you to check out.

On a sad note, as of June 1st, Jon Biviano, our long standing guitar player/song writer and friend, has decided to leave the band. He told us back in January, but we decided not to make the news public until now. We will be going into the studio in July to record some new material that we have written with Jon. Two songs will be released on a limited
edition split 7" on Smorgasbord Records with the band Psychopunch from Sweden. We will not be playing any live shows until we have found a full time replacement for Jon. Which brings me to the next and last update...

Are you a guitar player? Do you know any guitar players? If you are anyone that you know is interested in playing guitar for Windfall, please contact us asap.

We took home the CT People's Rock Award this past Friday night at the 1st annual CT Rock Awards, presented by Unsyned Artist, Radio 104, and the Webster Theater. We cannot thank our fans enough for all of the support sending emails and for screaming their hearts out at the show.

We apologize for the delay in posting this, we wanted to wait until we had the pictures up on the site for all of you to check out. Also, photographing the actual award was not easy. It is transparent, so where ever you put it, the background became part of the award. I finally decided to put a white piece of paper behind it, so in the picture it looks like the award is white. Thanks again to everyone who helped to make this all possible!!!!!!! Now go check out the pictures...

Please accept our apologies, our web site has been down for a few days. It seems that American Web Hosting deemed the account delinquent, for no valid reason what so ever and they took down our site without trying to contact us and without our permission. They did not back the site up and we lost our entire message board. They had no legitimate reason to remove the site, and we are still fighting with them for proper compensation.

Our web master has been hard at work at locating and getting a new message board up and running. Hopefully things will be back to normal shortly.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, (Mother Nature, snow, ice, and sleet), we, for the 1st time in the history of Windfall, were forced to cancel our show tonight at Toad's Place with Murphy's Law. Please accept our apologies, we were looking forward to this show more than you can imagine. We hope to confirm something new in the near future.

Taking time off from playing out live can definitely be difficult sometimes, but we promise to return to the stage in January and grace you with some long overdue new songs. The new material is coming together nicely and we are looking forward to debuting it and getting back onto the stage. Check back real soon for some new live photos and some minor alterations.

Rocked out in Boston and Madison Connecticut this past weekend. Friday night in Boston was fun and we had the opportunity to hang out with some old time friends who we do not get to see too often, that is always a treat. Most vivid memories of the evening are the door guy with the photographic memory, hey oh ayyyyy, and Rob's beautiful rendition of the band that played after us while driving from the show to our crash pad, nananana nanana... Saturday at the Madison Arts Barn was great, what a cool place. We missed the opening band Floyd Gets Lucky, but had the pleasure of seeing Hyperdrop and Release. Both bands rocked hard and I would suggest to check them both out online at http://www.relase-ct.com and http://www.hyperdrop.com and definitely check out their live shows. The month of November will be a fruitful one for Windfall. We are taking a break from playing shows and we are locking ourselves in the practice room each and every weekend, not to resurface until we have an albums worth of brand new material. Check back throughout November for site updates and for future show listings for mid December and into the new year.

10/22/02

Windfall successfully played our first two shows this past weekend with our new bassist Bill Rubel. It is a pleasure to have Bill in the band. Not only is he presently Rob's roommate, but a long time friend of Jennifer's, an old roommate of Rob and Jennifer's, a fan of Windfall, an almost lifelong friend of Jeff's (the two played in a band together back in Jr. High School), a great bass player, and an overall good guy. For those of you keeping track, since the inception of Windfall back in 1996, we are presently on our third drummer, third guitarist, and fifth bassist, leaving Jennifer and Jeff the only two original members. This coming winter will mark our fourth year with Jon on guitar and this fall marked our third year with Rob on drums.

We will be playing two more shows this coming weekend and then taking the month of November off to write a slew of long overdue new songs. We plan to return to the stage in mid-December and play out regularly in the new year. Plans are in the works for a two week European tour around Easter time. It will be our third time touring Europe, and man do we love touring Europe!

A release date has not been set for the Pal-Tone Records RadioDick three way split CD, but it will definitely be available in November. The label has all of the master recordings from the other bands and it's just a matter of finishing the artwork and getting the CD to the pressing plant. We will keep you posted on the official release date.

The only updates to the site were a few older show flyers that we found in a box of flyers and they are on the show archives page. Look for new live pictures from all of the most recent shows to be uploaded in the beginning of November.

Our hearts go out to the thousands of innocent lives that were taken one year ago today. On this one year anniversary of the horrific events that changed all of our lives forever, light a candle, honor the dead and their survivors, give a big hug to your closest relative or friend, and smile upon your neighbor.

In Windfall news, we added eight new pictures from each of our most recent shows at the El-N-Gee and Rudy's. You can hear thirty second snippets of the four upcoming songs due out in October on the Pal-Tone Records http://www.pal-tonerecords.com . RadioDick 3 way split cd. Also, we put up thirty second snippets from our original demo tape from back in 1996. Go to the Music page to check them out. Check out the links page for a ton of cool band and music related sites that we love. Also, Jennifer has a site dedicated to her triathalons and Ironman's that she competes in internationally, check it out at http://www.eteamz.com/sites/jennifercatucci/.

We had our first practice with our new bassist this past weekend and we are proud to say that Bill Rubel is progressing in leaps and bounds. We plan on hitting the stage for a few shows in October and then taking the month of November off to write a bunch of new songs and debut a few of them when we return to the stage again in December.

9/3/02

We will be taking the month of September off from playing any shows and will be focusing on getting tight with our new bass player. We will keep you posted and get you more details on our new bass God as the month progresses. The four songs that we recorded this past June for the RadioDick three way split series are slated to come out in mid October on Pal-Tone Records http://www.pal-tonerecords.com. Check out the Pal-Tone web site for more details.

Well our show at Cherry Street this past Friday night was supposed to be our farewell to our bass player Mike. I kind of envisioned it in my head to be like this. Start dream sequence......... Windfall take stage, we announce that it is Mike's last show with us and start to barrel through our set. We have a great time, as we always do while playing, the crowd has a good time and as we near the close of the set, we thank Mike for all of his dedication and for being there for us when we needed him most. We tell him that we will miss him and wish him all the best of luck with his band Another Day Ruined http://www.anotherdayruined.com/ we pack up our gear, have a few drinks together with Mike, and head home. End dream sequence. But, as we all know so well, things never go as planned and here is how the night actually went. The show got off to a little bit of a late start due to traffic and bands not arriving on time. Our time slot kept getting pushed later and later as the night went on, as the promoter of the show tried to juggle the 8 bands that he over booked for the show. We waited patiently with our friends and fans who came out to support us at the show and then we were pushed back by the promoter once again. At this point, we tried to have a heart to heart conversation with him and tell him that we needed to play the slot that we were told to play and the slot that we had been waiting to play for the past two and a half hours. He at that point became very disrespectful and outright rude to us, so we packed up the van and left. Rob drove two hours back home, Jen drove two hours back home and Jon and Mike drove over two hours back home. No von voyage show for Mike and an absolute waste of all of our time. I apologize to anyone and everyone who came to see us, but there was no way in hell that we were going to sit there and let someone take advantage of us like that, we have pride and we have our standards.

8/23/02

We just added 13 new European tour pictures as well as pictures from our Faith Foundation benefit show on July 27th and a really cool private party that we played on August 3rd. If you look carefully you will notice two new pics from WIC-ed Fest 2002. Be sure to check the shows archive page for cool flyers from the shows.

8/1/02

Yeeehaaaawwww! The new web site is up and running. We originally anticipated a July 1st launch, but ran into some technical difficulties, but that's to be expected. Pull up a chair, get comfortable, and make yourself at home at Windfall's new web site. Give us your feedback on the new design here!

7/29/02

We played a fund raiser this past Saturday evening for the Faith Foundation in Mt. Kisco, NY The Faith Foundation is a non-profit organization whose goal is to reach disadvantaged children and their families. We would like to thank our friends Funch who offered their time to play with us and we were proud to be a part of such a good cause. We will post some pictures of the show in the near future.

7/31/02

We have an official mailing list now, please sign up on it to receive current Windfall news and show updates.

7/22/02

We are happy to announce that as of this fall East Coast Talent will be the new booking agency for Windfall. This should open up a world of new doors and offer many new opportunities for the band.

7/15/02

Our bassist Mike Marmo has decided that August 30th will be his last show with us. Mike helped us out in a pinch and has been a great asset to Windfall over the past 7 months. His dedication and professionalism is unsurpassed. Though he will be missed, we do have a replacement on the back burner, so not to worry.

7/8/02

We successfully recorded 4 songs over the last weekend in June and we are waiting for the final mastered copy to turn over to Pal-Tone Records for release. The RadioDick 3 way split series should be available by the middle of September on Pal-Tone Records.

5/29/02

We are in the process of designing a brand new web page. 1st off we want to thank Jon, our webmaster for the past few years, for doing an incredible job and helping us out when we were in a bind. He did a great job with converting his wife's artwork into our web page that we have received numerous compliments about. If you did not already know, Jon is the web master of the Up Front web page which you can check out at http://www.up-front.org The new web page will be launched around the 1st of July and the new web master is Ryan DeLutis. You can check out his resume at http://www.ryandelutis.com/ and at our friends web site http://www.dead50s.com

5/24/02

We will be heading into the studio the last weekend of June to record four songs for an upcoming split release series entitled RadioDick. The cd will be released on Pal-Tone Records and the songs will be recorded at Up Start Studios in Hoboken NJ. Our debut cd/ep 'Awaken', which was released back in July of 1999 was recorded with Chris and we are excited to get back to work with him and Up Start. We will be re-recording the song 'Growing Alive' which appeared on our full length cd 'Loud With The Windows Open So The Neighbors Can Hear', released in June of 2001. Also to be recorded will be the old time favorite 'Silent Grave', which originally appeared on our 1996 demo tape and has been a staple of our live shows over the past few years. 'Kindle' and 'Touch The Touch' were actually recorded during the 'Loud' sessions, but were not up to par enough to make the final cut for the release. http://www.upstartstudios.com

5/23/02

Pal-Tone Records announced that Windfall, a tri-state area band will be featured on their upcoming RadioDick 3-sided CD release. The band will have four songs, including Growing Alive on the album, which is expected to be released in late summer. According to Pal-Tone Records A&R Director, Kevin Palisi, Windfall "is a high energy band who gives a hard-hitting powerhouse live show. I was also very impressed on how well that energy can be felt in their recordings." Windfall's Jennifer Catucci's unique blend of strong sultry singing, coupled with genuine and passionate lyrics, hits you deep within. Bass player Mike Marmo, (formerly of Deny Victoria and World Indefference), along with veteran guitarists Jeff Terranova (formerly of Up Front) and Jon Biviano (from Supertouch - one of the best from the NY hard-core scene in the 80's and early 90's) help give Windfall a sound all its own. Add in the extremely talented Rob McDonough on percussion, and you can hear why the band's unique style of "hardcore/rock" continues to attract fans both near and far. With a European tour and countless live shows in the US, Windfall is making their mark and bringing passion, originality and sincerity into the music scene. Pal-Tone Records is an independent record label from Milford, CT. The RadioDick series seeks out the best in local and underground music. The 3-sided LP features three bands that fit into a similar music genre. The other two bands to join Windfall on the 3-sided CD will be announced in the coming weeks.

1/14/02

We are back! After two of the longest months of our lives, we are proud to announce the addition of Mike Marmo to the line up. Mike is a long standing member of the NJ hardcore and underground rockscenes and has played bass in the bands Deny Victoria and WorldIndifference. We will be ready to hit the stage again by the middle of February and are in the process of confirming a bunch of dates for February and March. The last week of March we will embark upon a three week Europen tour. This tour is to replace the tour from Nov/Dec 2001that we were forced to post-pone due to the loss of our bass player Chris. The tour is being arranged by MAD from Berlin Germany and a few dates have already been confirmed. The tour will open with four consecutive shows with Holland's Bambix and then we will venture out on our own. Thanks so much to everyone for ALL of the support and patience and we are looking forward to seeingeveryone again real soon!

1/13/02

We have new t-shirts, buttons and stickers, which will all be available at our shows from here on out. They will also soon be available for mailorder on the Smorgasbord Records web page http://www.smorgasbordrecords.com.

11/19/01

It comes as a great disappointment to the band to have to announce the following news. On 11/14/01 our bass player of 4 plus years decided to step down from his position. It comes as a semi major blow to the band leaving us having to postpone our European tour and most likely having to cancel some shows that were scheduled for mid December. The four of us were so determined to not cancel the European tour, that Jeff learned all of the bass lines and Jon learned many of Jeff's guitar parts and we practiced as a four piece. It just wasn't the same, the band sounded very different and we did not have the proper amount of time to make the set tight enough to take to the stage. Plans are being made right now to reschedule the European tour for spring of 2002 and we will let you know the new itinerary once we have it. We are going to diligently seek out a new bass player and like the many other hurdles that this band has had to overcome the past year, we will come back stronger and better than ever.

8/16/01

This afternoon the house that we have our practice space in caught fire. The fire started in the basement, pretty much destroying everything in it and began spreading through the basement ceiling into the 1st floor bedroom. Fortunately someone saw the smoke, called the fire department and the fire was put out before it reached the entire first floor. We were all unharmed and the majority of the personal belongings in the house were unscathed. We used to practice in the basement but due to the lack of heat we decided to move the rehearsals upstairs for the winter. We liked it so much upstairs that we remained there even though the weather had warmed up. If we had been still rehearsing in the basement, we would have lost everything in the blaze.

Yesterday Evening we played at the Acme Underground in NYC and we would like to thank Seth, Roger and Denise, Gabe, Terry and the rest of our friends and family for hanging out. On friday night we played Images in Fairview NJ and we would like to thank the band ID for rocking out with us and all of Jon's friends for making the evening one to remember. Thanks to all of fans and friends for all of the support, we sincerely appreciate it!
