SINGLES. PERIOD. THE VINYL YEARS 1980-1990 compiles 7" single releases previously unavailable in the US. The Ex: G.W. Sok (vocals); Dolf Planteijdt, Terrie, Ferry Heyne (guitar); Coby Laan (piano); Gert-Jan Blom (organ); Rene, Bas, Yoke, Luc (bass guitar); Jon Langford, Ome Geurt, Wim, Sabien, Kat (drums).

On September 5, 2005, The Ex: Singles. Period. will at least see the light of day. Finally available, all the songs from The Ex's old vinyl singles made between 1980 and 1990. Most of those singles were released only in Holland, and all of them have been unavailable for entirely too long.

Back in the 1980s, The Ex regularly released 7'' singles on vinyl, a wonderfully suiting format for hit-and-run releases and small collaboration projects, reflecting the times in which The Ex were living.
