The Cheifs "Holly-West Crisis"
GREAT cd by one of the first punk rock bands to have emerged from
Huntington Beach, Ca. THE CHEIFS were Huntington Beach's answer to
THE CIRCLE JERKS, BLACK FLAG, GERMS, THE GEARS and the other "founding
fathers" of the early Southern California Punk scene. THE CHEIFS
formed in 1979 and played along side bands like: ADOLESCENTS, SOCIAL
DISTORTION, AGENT ORANGE, TSOL and many others.
Contains all their recordings ever done. The songs from the impossibly
rare "Who Cares" comp LP, "Cracks in the Sidewalk"
comp LP, "Chunks" comp, unreleased tracks, and of course
the classic "Blues" 7"ep from 1980.
This was originally released in 1996 by the now defunct Flipside Records.
It has new artwork and packaging, but contains the same great 13 songs
which were all recorded between 1980-1982! Great old photos and liner
notes done by the band as well as a CD Rom with a live gig from 1980.
Get an education and get THE CHEIFS!
